We had a foreign exchange student 7 years ago, Tamara Segura, from Lucerne. We always said we'd come visit. It took Heather moving to Germany to make that happen. It was a 5 hour drive from Heather's home in Vilsek to Lucerne, and the whole family went. We traveled in 2 cars, a boy car and a girl car:) We stayed in an airbnb about 35 minutes away.
We finally got to meet Tamara's parents and they treated us like royalty. They fed us lunch when we got there late in the afternoon, showed us around Lucerne, took us out to dinner and fed us cake afterwards. It was a late night and our tummies were so full.
