Germany!

 Our first trip to Europe.  Long flights, 1 stop in Iceland.  Left at 4pm our time, arrived at 2pm the next day, their time.  It was amazing, as you will see from ALL the photos;)

the prickly pear are blooming mama and daddy bluebird taking turns Mama bluebird was stressed because...a house sparrow was in her nest box I found this on the ground:(  it was still breathing and moving, so we put it back in the nest... mama seemed fine with it... but the sparrow got to the nest again.  It breaks my heart!

♪ I'm so excited...♪ ♫

I did it!  My kitchen is done, well, I still have some door knobs to put on and some calking to do, but the major part is done and I'm thrilled with it!  Man it feels good when you do it yourself and also save a ton of money!!!!  I'm not a professional and many times impatient, and therefore the work isn't perfect, but I think I really like it:)  Pictures anyone? before...(bright white evreything, and cluttered) distressed cupboards (the kids had already distressed them over the years, I just added the antique look) bright white with antique cupboards clean counters! the original counter was white with specks of green and blue had to keep the temp at 72 degrees the whole time! the cat likes the temp. :) taped off and ready to go.  I hate prep work!  let's get to the fun stuff! my kitchen work station for the next little bit while it cures the primer coat up 'til midnight sponging on "the granite" too much...
