family time

at RMFR in Denver, a feline rescue.  Hannah and I have been here once before and she had a donation drive at school for them.  Her science teacher was quite impressed with her zeal for this cause!  They have about 100 cats at any given time.  We decided to go all together, as a family, before we were all going seperate ways this week.  we spent most of our time in the FIV and FELE (I think that's right) area.  These sweet cats have the feline version of HIV and Luekemia.  We spent time in the kitten room and the shy room and the newcomers room as well, but mostly the FIV room.  Hannah begged and pleaded to take several of them home, and truth be told, I'd be okay with that;)
taking naps in the sun is apparently the thing to do;)


this one is a young one and came with a sibling...

she looks mad, and honestly doesn't like other kitties, but is really quite sweet

this one is incredibly friendly and soooo sweet!



they all liked to play and were quite entertaining



Such sweet kitties with immune issues.  they need homes too!

I did it!  My kitchen is done, well, I still have some door knobs to put on and some calking to do, but the major part is done and I'm thrilled with it!  Man it feels good when you do it yourself and also save a ton of money!!!!  I'm not a professional and many times impatient, and therefore the work isn't perfect, but I think I really like it:)  Pictures anyone? before...(bright white evreything, and cluttered) distressed cupboards (the kids had already distressed them over the years, I just added the antique look) bright white with antique cupboards clean counters! the original counter was white with specks of green and blue had to keep the temp at 72 degrees the whole time! the cat likes the temp. :) taped off and ready to go.  I hate prep work!  let's get to the fun stuff! my kitchen work station for the next little bit while it cures the primer coat up 'til midnight sponging on "the granite" too much...

last week I took a loooong walk by myself, which I very much needed.  It was lovely! driving into the sunset  more "walk" I don't think you can tell, but I was throwing leaves into the air:) and then winter hit this week, mid week.  3 days of no school, which was actually kind of nice;) so much snow for so early in the season! Maya got a play date in the snow with her friend Jordy Eden got to play in the snow with our friend and neighbor, Emma, and Maya raced them down.
